Reduce the usage of Paper Napkins

Normally 1 tree can make 25000 paper napkins.

Considering this fact, if one person on an average uses 5 paper napkins per day ,
Then in an year he/she will use 360*5=1800
10 person will use 1800*10=18000 paper napkins

A software company of 1000 employees will consume
1800*1000=18,00,000 paper napkins

Now total number of trees
1800000/25000 = 72 trees

In India if I take an average that 5,00,000 employees uses paper napkins , then total number of trees cut in a year,

5,00,000 x 1800 = 900 Million

(900 x 10^6 ) / 25000 =  36000 Trees

So in a year we can save 36000 Trees, imagine that It will take 15-20 years to grow 36000 trees.

One thing I want to ask , (For Indian people) , the generation to which I belong to , our parents have never used paper napkins, and in 1980s and 1990s , the use of paper napkins were almost zero for middle class people, we were close to nature before than we are now.

Few of my friends use handkerchiefs, this is best option.

If we cannot plant a tree, then it gives no right to us to cut them down.

Many Thanks
Ashish
